How to Connect to Skidmore Secure on a Mobile Device

How to connect your Android Device to the Skidmore Secure Wifi Network

1. Under wifi networks select the skidmore secure network.

2. Then make sure the following settings are filled out:

  • EAP Method: PEAP
  • Phase2: MSCHAPv2
  • Certificate: Don't Validate or Use System Certificates
  • Domain: skidmore.edu
  • Identity: Skidmore Username (everything before the @symbol in your Skidmore email address)
  • Anonymous Identity: Use your Skidmore Username
  • Password: Your Skidmore Account Password

3. When asked if you trust the security certificate, select trust.

How to connect your iOS Device to the Skidmore Secure Wifi network.

  1. On your iOS device, tap on Settings.


     
  2. Tap on Wifi.


     
  3. Tap on "Skidmore Secure". The list may take a moment to load. Note: do not use Skidmore Guest; it can cause trouble with accessing on-campus resources (e.g. printers).


     
  4. Enter your Skidmore username (without the @skidmore.edu on the end) and your password. Press Join when done.


     
  5. You'll be asked to Trust a certificate; please do. Tap on "Trust" in the upper right.


     
  6. You are now connected to Skidmore Secure. You should see a check mark next to "Skidmore Secure" on the screen.
